Netscape Messenger Setup for Netscape Messenger Email

1. Click on the Start button, Click on Programs, Click on Netscape Communicator, Click on Netscape Messenger The Program will now ask if you would like to setup Netscape as your default email program.
2. If it doesn't ask you this, go to step 7
3. Click the "..never ask again." box If you wish to use Netscape as a default email program.
4. Click Yes otherwise click No.
5. Click Edit on the Toolbar.
6. Click Preferences Under Mail & Newsgroups, click Identity Make sure that the User Name has your complete email address in it e.g. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
7. Make sure that the email address field has your email address in it e.g. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
8. Click Mail Servers Make sure that the Incoming Mail Servers has a mail in the white box.
9. If there is one, type 'mail.chillnet.co.za' in the field.
10. Click Add In Server Name type mail Choose POP from the dropdown list.
11. In User Name type your dial up username Click Ok Make sure in Outgoing mail (SMTP) server there is the one of your ISP (Internet Service Provider).
12. Click Ok.
